Monticellobration FestiFall
Sep 16, 2017
11:00am to 10:00pm
Summer Fun is upon us, but Fall will be here sooner than we know it. And Fall means time for the Monticellobration! Come join us for the Monticellobration FestiFall on Saturday, September 16th. The FestiFall will offer our perennial favorites, plus we will be adding quite a few new activities. Making a popular return is the Pet Parade hosted by the Monticello Animal Shelter. Paint the Town will be happening thanks to the Monticello Area Arts Council; the SunDowners Car Club will be featuring the car show on Independence Street, kids activities will be going on around the Square, and we will have many new vendors! Folks of all ages can enjoy painting a Fall Scene at the Canvas and Corks tent on the square. Fair Hopes Farms out of Arthur will be offering Pony Rides and Horse and Buggy rides. Kids can run off their energy in the bounce house or with creating magnificent bubbles with Joyful Bubbles.
Get your picture taken in front of a vintage truck or as a scarecrow!
Of course, there will be our delicious restaurant cookouts, food trucks, baked goods, and lots more vendors and activities around the Square.
Music during the day provided by Bad Medicine.
Enter the Scarecrow Walk competition and spend some time walking around viewing all the scarecrows. Cast your vote for the best creation! Individuals, businesses, or organizations may enter the Scarecrow Walk competition. For more information, click here.
The evening activities kick off at 6 pm with 3 Gun Whiskey starting the fun. Feudin’ Hillbillies will close the evening from 8:30-10 pm.

It’s National Public Works Week, and we truly couldn’t do all the things we do without the support of Mayor Stoner and the @City of Monticello, Illinois Government Public Works Department. From parklet installation to keeping our streets clean and looking their best, their attention to detail helps keep our downtown district running smoothly—and looking good while doing it.
Design is one of the four cornerstones of the Main Street program, helping ensure the historic integrity of our National Historic District is preserved. It also supports thoughtful integration of public art, beautification, and seasonal décor that enhances downtown’s character while keeping its history front and center.
Breaking News...The Monticello Farmers' Market vendor application for 2026 is open!! Opening Day is June 11!!!
