Monticellobration - September 21, 2019 in Historic, Downtown Monticello
Monticellobration is September 21, 2019!
Monticellobration is just around the corner! We're looking forward to another year of great vendor shopping, in addition to the already fantastic brick-and-mortar stores who are the heart and soul of our historic, downtown. Kirby Kids Corner is once again bringing the day-time fun for Littles! Be sure get the kids tucked away and come on back down because this year we're rockin' with regional and national music acts - and open libation - until MIDNIGHT! Aside from food/drink and shopping, the best part is that it is all FREE!
Our friends at Piatt County Trailblazers will be cooking up some tasty biscuits-and-sausage to kick-off the day with a community breakfast; be sure to stop by! Special thanks to Valentine Tire & Automotive for sponsoring the always-impressive Sundowners Car Show, which will be held again in front of East End Pub.
The First State Bank Young Entrepreneurs Row "Start Small. Dream Big" is a shot for young makers to bring their goods to Market, and you won't want to miss all they have to offer! Young Entrepreneurs who are interested in vending can access the vendor form HERE. Print, complete, scan/photograph and email back. Full directions on the form; space is limited to 20 vendors and due by Friday, Sept. 13.
It's going to be a great day to Make it Monticello!
Kids Dance Party! Professionally DJ'd from the Main Stage, by DJ Billy Unzicker!
It’s National Public Works Week, and we truly couldn’t do all the things we do without the support of Mayor Stoner and the @City of Monticello, Illinois Government Public Works Department. From parklet installation to keeping our streets clean and looking their best, their attention to detail helps keep our downtown district running smoothly—and looking good while doing it.
Design is one of the four cornerstones of the Main Street program, helping ensure the historic integrity of our National Historic District is preserved. It also supports thoughtful integration of public art, beautification, and seasonal décor that enhances downtown’s character while keeping its history front and center.
Breaking News...The Monticello Farmers' Market vendor application for 2026 is open!! Opening Day is June 11!!!
